A Little Skiing...

Brynlee did a 3 day ski school while we were in Idaho and I was so proud of her. We took her skiing last winter and she did pretty well, but we took her up the chairlift too early and it was NOT a good experience coming down. Soooo, this time she still remembered her previous experience and was very hesitant to ride the chairlift again. Her class went up the chairlift on the second day but Brynlee was content to stay on the bunny hill. I tried to hold myself back and just let her go at her own pace. I tend to use tough love and just wanted to tell her to buck up and get on there, but I decided that wasn't going to help. She had an awesome teacher who was so sweet, and patient with her and I was so grateful! Anyway, the 3rd day I suited up and told her I would ride the chairlift with her. She was slightly hesitant, but we got up there and then her teacher took over. I had to ski down away from her b/c she definitely did better when I wasn't right there with her. I rode up one more time with her and then just skied down and went inside. She did great and I was very proud of her. I hope to get her up on a ski hill at least a couple more times this season, so we hopefully won't have to start all over again next winter.

How fun!! What an awesome experience for Brynlee. I'm glad she enjoyed in. It's been a while since I've checked in on you. I love the Family Christmas picture! You need to stop thinking you're chubby though--you are beautiful! Your girls all look so much a like and Sophie blends right in. What a beautiful family you have.
P.S. I was just diagnosed with Hypothyroidism too! That explains why I've been SO tired lately. I'm happy to have something to blame it on. I just take synthroid each day and it seems to be helping. I hope you're doing well with it. Take care!
