The Reason I Haven't Blogged For A While...

Meet Sophie Mae...
Born November 9th, 2010
7lb 6oz and 19inches
Proud older sisters... Brynlee would sit and hold her all day long if I would let her... A shot snapped just after arriving home for the first time. Gotta love those cheeks...
Snug as a bug...
A proud Mimi...
A first encounter...
Minutes after birth. Gotta love the puffy eyes and the look of "what just happened to me!!" (Notice the cute birthmark on her left side)
WARNING: POSSIBLE TMI! READ WITH CAUTION!
This little kiddo was super stubborn and did not want to come out on her own. I did everything in my power to get her to come 11+ days early like both of her sisters were, but she wasn't having it. Luckily my doc agreed to induce me in my 39th week so that is what we did. I got the call from the hospital at 5:45am and was told to be there by 6:30. I got in there and was still at a 1 (which I had been for the past 3 wks) so they started the pit at about 7:30. My doctor stopped in about an hour later and I had progressed to a 3. I was thinking "Sweet! She is going to be here before noon." Ummm ya....I was wrong. She took her sweet time and arrived just before 5pm. I had my epidural so I wasn't really uncomfortable, but I was definitely getting impatient. Kind of interesting that each of my labors have gotten longer, rather than shorter. Towards the end my epidural started to ware off and I wasn't too excited about that. I wasn't feeling pain, just pressure and that was more than I wanted to feel. Once she finally decided to get into place (she had been tipped posterior) the doctor arrived and I didn't even have to push. That was nice after a long day. She has been a really good baby overall and sleeps like a champ. I think her 3rd night home she slept 6 hours straight and has been doing at least that almost every night since. I am starting to see some signs of possible reflux or gas, so I'm hoping to get control of that soon. It is so much fun having a newborn in the house, and I'm SOOOO grateful for a husband who helps me A TON with the other two girls.
