Mother's Day...

I had a pretty good Mother's Day weekend! On Friday Brynlee and I went to a little Mother's Day Tea Party and her preschool and she was pretty excited for me to go. She told me how I was going to wear a purple crown and feel really special. Dave was able to watch Halle for me, so it was fun just being the two of us. She was so excited for me to go, but once we got there she kind of clammed up. I had to walk her to the front of her little classroom for her to sit on her chair. She didn't say her little part that she had practiced, and didn't sing the song. She just sat up there biting her lip being embarrassed. She has definitely proven to be a bit more shy when she is in front of an audience. I tried not to get frustrated with her because it is so out of character! She looked pretty cute sitting up there though, and it was fun for the two of us to have some alone time. I can't believe she is almost 4!
I had one of her teacher snap a picture of us on her special day. I'm thinking maybe bangs and me don't mix! I don't mind them when I look in the mirror, but I rarely like how they look in pictures! Don't you love my purple crown!
This was the pretty bouquet of flowers Dave and the girls brought home for me. Brynlee picked them out and I loved them. Such fun, bright colors! She couldn't wait to surprise me with them. I sure feel lucky to be the mom of my two little girls!

If some of you already read this post, I decided to add a little more! I wanted to add what Brynlee said about me on a couple of questionnaires.

One from church: How old is your mom? 17

What is your mom's favorite color? Red (correct)

What is your most favorite meal that your mom cooks? Pancakes (Dave is usually the one who makes the pancakes)

What do you like to do with your mom? Go to the store (kind of random, but ok)

What is your mom's favorite thing to do? Clean up (Ummmm...Wrong)

What color of eyes does your mom have? Grey (correct)

What's your favorite thing about your mom? When she sings

It was then signed with her cute signature!

The one from school was similar....According to it, I am 15, have a favorite food of salad, and my favorite thing to do is clean my closet. She must have been in my closet just before school and realized I needed to clean it! Too funny!

I also wanted to post how grateful I am for my mom! She is more like a best friend to me and probably the most giving person I know! I am so blessed to have her as my mom and I love her so much!

I hope everyone else had a Happy Mother's Day!!!

What a doll. Seriously she has ridiculous natural beauty. Oh yea but look at you and Dave, no wonder. What a fun mother's day treat. We are hoping to pass by St. George the 3rd week of June. Hopefully we can stop for a quick Hi. Will you guys be in town?
