QUITE THE HALLOWEEN!!

MY LITTLE BALLERINAS!!!
We had a fun Halloween this year, and probably one that we will never forget. Through most of the the day is was pretty low key. Dave came home from work early, so that was nice, we had a quick dinner, got the girls ready and headed out for some trick or treating. We put the girls in the stroller and made our way through a large neighborhood that is in our ward. Unfortunately at the second door Brynlee knocked on the man opened the door with a scary mask on! Brynlee immediately turned around and ran the other direction crying! Needless to say, she had to be coaxed into going up to every door after that and told several times that they wouldn't have a mask on! It was a bit frustrating! Halle just stayed in her stroller eating a sucker and was pretty content...thank goodness! Brynlee lasted about an hour, but then decided she was hungry and wanted to go home. We made our way back and guess what we found out when we got home......WE WERE LOCKED OUT!!! Brynlee was starving, Halle was tired, and we couldn't get into our house! GREEEAAATTT!! Dave had mistaken a work key for a house key, and the dang thing definitely didn't open our door. Luckily one of our neighbors was just getting home and invited us into their house until we got it figured out. We ended up hanging out for about an hour, and luckily someone from the property management company came and met Dave to give him a key! Thank goodness for nice neighbors! Like I said....we probably won't forget this Halloween!!
Brynlee decided the next day that she wanted some pink hair, and our cute neighbor was happy to indulge!! She ran inside and looked in the mirror about 10 times and kept coming back and saying she wanted just a little bit more! At the end she said, "Look mom...I have pinkalicious hair!" Brynlee has been loving taking pictures lately and she is getting pretty good at controlling the camera. These are some of the random backyard pictures that she took yesterday. And a lovely one of me of course! Maybe we have a future photographer! :) She and Sami were also outside playing with Brynlee's marbles and Sami spelled out our whole family. I'm pretty sure she took that picture. Again...we are grateful for good neighbors and fun friends for Brynlee to play with!

I didn't know you got locked out. I am glad everything worked out. Kind of weird to me that property managment people have access to our homes.
Your girls looked adorable. Sorry about the pink hair.

Glad you didn't get locked out all night. Although it would have been the best night for it - you could just trick-or-treat for dinner and it wouldn't be weird!

What cute little dancers! I'm sorry the night turned out like that. I guess those are the times that are fun to look back and laugh on. They looked cute anyways! :) I bet Bryn does have some nice calf muscles. :)

Hey, it's Camile from Jazz Attack! :) I found your blog off of Curt and Shawna Wakefields. (Shawna and I grew up together and I married one of Curt's best friends - small world.)

Your girls are soooo cute - they look just like you I think! I LOVE the name Brynlee. We have another girl on the way and that is probably my favorite name that we've thought of so far. (It makes me like it even more when I see that your little Brynlee is so dang cute!)

They both looked so darling in their costumes. Little Halle is looking so grown-up. Brynlee's hair totally cracked me up, especially the 'pinkalicious'! Sorry to hear about getting locked out, that will for sure be one night you'll never forget. Hope to see you guys soon. (will you guys be in Idaho over Thanksgiving?)
