LABOR DAY WEEKEND

I just returned from a quick trip to Idaho for the Labor Day weekend. My dad's side of the family had a family reunion, so we headed to Island Park with the fam. We were able to have our own cabin, which was great with the kids and quiet for napping. Dave wasn't able to come with us because he had to go to Kansas City and manage some of our properties there. :( We really missed him, but had a great time.

We decided to head into Yellowstone Park for a day and see Old Faithful. My two youngest siblings had never been there, and the last time I was there was when I was 5 years old, so we decided a visit was long overdue. Dave thought this was hilarious because he grew up in Ohio and had been to Yellowstone Park about 5 times, and I grew up about an hour and a half away and had only been there once.

Overall, the kids did great! For some reason Halle was a bit challenging through the weekend. I don't know if she was just off her schedule or what, but man was she a handful. Both my parents house and the cabin had stairs and she would not stay away from them. She was a pro at going up, but hasn't figured out how to go down. When she wanted something or was hungry she would just yell out and didn't want to be held or let down. Man I was really missing having Dave there to help me. She totally wore me out! This kid has really got some spunk, and I definitely had my fill during the weekend. Thanks to my family for all of their help!

We were able to see a few different buffalo, several elk, and one bear that was way far up a mountain. The only problem with Yellowstone is there there is just one little road, so when anyone sees some sort of an animal it causes quite the traffic jam. Especially when people don't pull their cars over and get off the road! It was a little frustrating, but we had a good time.

When Brynlee is at Mimi and Bapa's house she loves to go outside with my mom and help water her flower, and ride Sadie's scooters. She also loves my mom's puppies Gizzie and LuLu (Lucy). LuLu has always been good with the kids, but Gizzie is getting old and doesn't have quite as much patience. She does really like Brynlee though. This hasn't always been the case, but Brynlee is always willing to sit on the floor and pet her, so now they are best friends. We took the dogs with us to the cabin, and Gizzie sat on Brynlee's lap in the car almost the whole ride there. It was pretty cute, and I'm mad I didn't take a picture.

WE LOVE WHEN FRIENDS COME TO VISIT...

Dave and I's really good friend Jocelyn has come to visit a couple time this summer and I forgot to post these pictures. Brynlee had a great time playing with Ani and I was loving having a friend to hang out with almost every day. Our kids are very close in age, so we wish that Joss and Warde lived closer! We had a great time and can't wait for them to come and visit again.

BANGS...
So I cut bangs many months ago, but they have never really been seen in a picture. This isn't that great of a picture because the wind was really blowing, but this is proof that I do have them. This pic is up at Tuacahn where Dave and I went with Joss and Warde to see Les Mis. It was great, and the outdoor theater was awesome!

The top pic with you & your girls is so cute- two little Tiff twins. I was laughing about the Yellowstone thing because I feel the same way about never going there when it's so close. Plus I think I was with your family when you last went @ age 5! My how the years fly by. I was telling Jus that we should just vacation around Idaho next year to see all that we haven't in awhile. Cute pictures- looks like you've been busy.
You guys are awesome!! It doesn't surprise me that you went on vacation without Dave. I vaguely remember a cruise or something that you went on with your girlfriends from school without Dave.:) It looks like y'all had a great summer. Talk to you later.- Bobby
I was walking up the isle during church and almost tripped when I unexpectedly saw Dave sitting there. Adrian spent the entire priesthood hour talking to Dave in the Relief Society room! Hope Dave wasn't bummed he missed out on class. He was so nice. We tried to convince him to move you all back here! Sounds like he's up for it!
Glad you had a great trip. Looks like it was beautiful weather. You look beautiful!
Looks like you and the girls had a fun weekend. Sorry that Dave couldn't go with you, but from the sounds of it he accomplished a lot here!! It is hard to travel with kiddies without your husband, sorry that Halle had such a difficult time, that is not fun!! I sure wish that you guys could have come out with Dave, hopefully we will get to see you all sometime soon:).
Your so cute Tiff. Im sad I missed you while you were here but Im glad you guys had a good time. I dont think Ive been to Old Faithful more than once either... go figure.
Yay for a fun trip with your girlies! We have loved visiting you this summer--when are you guys going to come up here and stay with us? (This is an invitation :) Maybe we could plan a fun weekend soon--take the kids to some fun places around here??? Call me. Seriously!!!
That was one awesome post! Adam says the exact same thing about Yellowstone, we haven't been in forever but yet we go to Lake Powell every year. It looked like a ton of fun. I can't believe how big Halle is getting, I think the last time we saw her was when she was a tiny baby. And I love that she was loving the tube!
Your family is so cute! I know what you mean about baby's being a handful when they are out of their element. The older kids have a great time, and the little ones, are tired and upset most of the time. It is so hard sometimes. But I am glad you had a good time with your family, and got to see Old Faithful. I need to take our family to see it sometime. I can't remember the last time I was there.
I love your bangs by the way. You would look beautiful no matter what your hair looks like! Your so stinkn Pretty!
Tiffany, you are Super Women! I think that is so awesome that you have the ambition to travel alone with two little ones. That can be so hard. It does make for fun memories, for the girls. Looks like you guys had a fun time with friends. Ok, your photos are amazing. You are a great photographer. Idaho looks gorgeous, no wonder you love to visit home. Hey, I would love to take your pictures anytime. You have such a cute photogenic family. It would be so much fun! Did you have a place in mind. Let's do it anytime! Cloudy days or evenings are the best for lighting. Give me a call.
Cute pics! I LOVE your little girls they seriously have to be 2 of the cutest little ladies ever! Good ol' Idaho...Sometimes I think I miss it then I go home and realize I don't belong! Family is about the only reason I make it there and even then its no more than once or twice a year!
I really like your bangs! Looks like you have been having some big adventures this summer! And I know what you mean about traveling without a husband - We have had to leave Kolby a lot to go home so he can study and it always makes me so glad I am not a single mom! WAY TOO HARD!!!
