For those who didn't know, there was a huge storm in Kansas City last night that caused some MAJOR damage for some people. I think the hardest hit area was a neighborhood right across the street from our old neighborhood! There were some houses totally demolished, and most had some significant damage. There were reports of it being pretty much like a hurricane, but I recently heard there was in fact a tornado that touched down. I found out about it early this morning, and had our friends and old ward members on my mind. (I stole these pictures from your blog Brit, hope you don't mind) Just to show that you can go to bed one night, and have your life changed by morning.

Thanks Tiff! Parkville lost power but that's about it.
You know, I'm so used to this type of weather that it doesn't seem to phase me anymore, but looking at these photos, I realize that I'm not phased because I haven't had our house blow away. It could happen to anyone. I didn't think last night was a big deal until I saw these photos...wow!
WOW! I am so glad we don't have to deal with stuff like this regularly. I guess I can handle snow in May after seeing those pictures. The clean up would be miserable!! That trampoline is incredible.
yes! Crazy! I also looked at images on KCTV5.com and it was just so weird to see the mayor walking down the street of my old neighborhood. SO surreal to think, ummm, I LIVED there last year! So glad no one was hurt!
Tiff we are so glad that your rental didn't suffer any damages and that our damages were nothing like they could have been!!
Hey just one more reason for us to move!!
This made me so glad to live somewhere where I don't have to deal with things like this! Snow in May is nothing compared to loosing your house!
Tif- I am soo glad that you left me a message. Since I have had this blog I have caught up with so many people. You are still one hot babe and your girls are soooo cute. The little one looks just like you. I have some really good friends going to KC for ortho school I should warn them about the weather. It's so fun to see where people are in life and see their kids I can't believe your brother Nate has a baby- I guess we are getting old hu? Thanks again- Stephanie Swendsen- Johnson
