(I'd like to begin by saying sorry about the previous negative post. I wasn't looking for compliments, but thanks to those who gave them. I will try to keep the "pitty party" posts to a minimum, but somedays that is just how I feel. I'm trying to be better today, although it didn't start off too well when I found out the I forgot Brynlee's back to school night last night. Pissed me right off! I am trying to do better though and be happy.....so on to a happier subject!)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HALLE RAE !!!
I had Dave snap this picture of us just before we left for church. Halle is wearing a birthday outfit and this was her first day of piggie tails! I thought she looked pretty cute. I love that Brynlee and Halle both have the same expression in the picture!

This kid definitely loves to make a mess. She took a few bites, and then had a great time throwing cupcake on the floor and smearing it all over her highchair and herself.
Sorry about all of the pictures. I am not very patient when it comes to watching and making slideshows, so I just decided to put a lot of pictures that you can quickly scroll through. It converts to by book better this way too!Oh....my sweet spunky little Rae Rae! This kid is seriously sooo goofy and so crazy. She gets really hyper and spins herself in circles while giggling and wiggling her body. She seriously cracks us up! She is almost always happy, but when she isn't she doesn't hesitate to let us know! She has brought so many blessing to our lives this past year and we love her soooo much! Here is a list of things that Halle is doing right now. If you are already bored with this post you can stop reading, cuz I'm going to try and write down everything I want to remember!
- She is saying Ah Oh(first word), Mama(when she's sad), Dadda, Ni Night, and Hi.
- She says Ooo Ooo when I ask her what a puppy says
- She prefers to not be fed by a spoon. This varies and she does better occasionally, but she would prefer to pick up her food and feed herself
- She loves to give her mommy open mouth kisses, and usually swats away anyone else who tries to get a kiss from her
- She walks around on her hands and feet most of the time, but hasn't started walking yet
- She got her first 2 teeth at 10.5 months and we are still waiting for more
- She loves to sit and look at books, and is really good at entertaining herself (this is very different from her big sister)
- She loves to play peek a boo. She hides herself around the corner and then pops her head around with a huge smile on her face.
- She loves to play with anything she isn't supposed to (the computer, cell phones, DVD player, directv box, etc)
- She loves to be chased....She will turn around and give me a big mischievious smile and then take off crawling the other direction laughing her head off.
- Probably her favorite place to play in the house is on top of my bed. She flops herself backwards, or face down and rolls all over the place. She has to be watched closely, but is lovin life and hates to be moved to the floor.
- The only time she will cuddle with me is right before she is going to bed. It usually doesn't last long, but I love every second of it. She would prefer to be laid down in her bed to go to sleep.

Happy birthday to little Halle!! I love that both our kids are so similar in age, when I read about the things that they're doing, it makes me smile! Chase's first word was uh-oh too, I guess that means that there's alot of things to say uh-oh about when you have a baby in the house!! Also, after reading your earlier post, I have to tell you that you are one of the most accomplished, goal-oriented, and ambitious people I have ever known. You were always doing things that no one else was (but wanted to), I'm sure that mothering is no exeption. Your girl are lucky to have you. I know that you said you weren't looking for compliments, but I just couldn't resist!
i love that you feel like i do sometimes with blogs. i just get annoyed when everybody just posts how adorable and loving their kids are..blah blah blah. it makes me feel lame too. i have to remind myself of reality--it's not always like that--that was a "good picture" i have to take breaks from blogging b/c it starts to bug me sometimes. but i like staying in touch. anywho...you guys look great--and i can't believe halle is 1 already. it seems like brynlee is still 1. and i hear ya about getting pregnant again...i still don't want to yet....!
I am so glad I have your blog address now! Could you and your family be any cuter? Nope, not possible! You are all darling, I love all the birthday pic's and I LOVE how your girls look so much alike!

PS....I LOVE watching one year olds eat their cakes! And Anabell rarely snuggled either :( It made me sad!

I totally get what you are saying about the whole blogging thing!! It is easy to compare ourselves to others!! You are a terrific mom and your girls are darling:)!!!! I always try to remember (with blogging and watching other friends) that we are only seeing people at their best, we don't see what goes on behind closed doors at home. One thing I do like about having my blog though is that it helps me to focus on the happy times with the kids/Court because I often get very frustrated with things and get sick of all of the crappy parts about marriage and motherhood. I have also learned a lot through strangers blogs though that have been willing to share their trials, it has really put my life into perspective and my trials into perspective for me, if you go to www.placeforinspiration.blogspot.com I have a list of blogs that are amazing testimony builders.

Happy birthday to Halle. You did a good job on her birthday. She looks so cute and Happy thats all the counts. Kids don't care about all the detail like us adults do. Thats why children are so amazing. Sometimes we need to be more like them. They love you for who you are, not how you look or things you've accomplished. Your a great mom and your kids always look so cute.

That is crazy that she is one! Time really does fly. I hear ya on the being pregnant thing - I think back to my grandma Manwaring who had 12 kids & think that she must have been pregnant the majority of her life! My family said they ran into you at Outback. I'm jealous that you were eating at OUtback & that you got to see my family! :(
How cute!! I think Halle looks so much like you! And just so you know... Brin's b-day was on Sep 2nd, and we STILL haven't celebrated it!! So don't feel bad about the lack-of-planning thing! You are NOT alone in that area! And I know it was probably just an off day that day... but you need to give yourself more credit for all the amazing things you do! I can tell you're a great mommy!
Happy Birthday! You crack me up with your last blog. I love that you can just tell it like it really is! I think it is good for us to have a little honest break down every once and a while so that the rest of us can see that we are all alike, and we all have the same struggles.... I have to call someone and vent, because if I wrote down all the bad things, my blog would really be scary to read..... being a mom is so hard, and trying to have things planned out ahead of time is even harder when you have to plan for a nap, and all the little things that go into your schedule. I know that you are such a great mom, and you don't give yourself enough credit. I look up to you for how creative, and perfect you are. In my eyes you always have it together, and are always perfect.
