Thank You, Thank You!!!

Just wanted to do a quick post and say thanks for all the advice with Brynlee. She is doing a lot better. I went to Idaho for a couple of weeks and she slept in a pack n play, and I have to say that it was soooo nice! She slept really well and would sleep in most morning. She hasn't figured out that she could totally climb out of a pack n play yet, so I am definitely not telling her. Needless to say, I was not looking forward to coming back and starting the "big girl bed" thing again. While I was gone, Dave put her mattress up on the bed and turned the door handles around so I could lock her in. He wasn't real excited about the idea, and honestly, I wasn't either, but at this point I was desperate. I think because the bed is a little higher and harder to get in and out of, it has definitely helped. Now for her naps she usually just gets up once and wants a drink of water or something and realizes that her doors are locked. I then go in and tell her that I will not be coming in again, so she better stay on her bed and it seems to be working. She is now back to napping about 2 1/2 hours and it is so nice to have that time again. She looks so cute sleeping in her big bed. Dave and I both go in her room a couple times before we go to bed and watch her sleep. I can't believe how big she is getting. We have also been talking about getting rid of the binki. Now I ask her what she is going to give to her baby sister when she is born and she says, "My binki." She now understands that she has to be the big sister and pass them on to the baby. (We will see how well this works once the baby gets here!) Anyway, thanks for all the advice. I have been slacking on posting pics lately, so I will try to post some from our trip to Idaho tomorrow.
